Frequently asked questions

How is NPS calculated?

Customers answer how likely they are to recommend you, from 0 to 10. Scores of 9 and 10 are promoters, 7 and 8 are passives, and 0 to 6 are detractors. NPS = % of promoters − % of detractors, so it goes from −100 to 100.

What is a good NPS?

Any score above 0 means you have more promoters than detractors. Many businesses consider 30 or more good and 50 or more excellent, but compare with your own past results and your industry.

How many answers do I need?

The more the better. With fewer than about 30 answers, a few customers can move the score a lot, so watch the trend over time instead of one number.
