Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate a percentage change?
Subtract the old value from the new one, divide by the old value and multiply by 100. Going from 80 to 100 is a 25% increase.
Is adding 20% and then subtracting 20% the same number?
No. 100 plus 20% is 120, and 120 minus 20% is 96, because the second percentage is taken from a bigger number.
