How is PTO accrual per paycheck calculated?
Divide the yearly PTO hours by the number of paychecks. 80 hours a year paid every two weeks is 80 / 26 = 3.08 hours per paycheck.
Are there legal minimums for paid leave?
There is no federal paid vacation rule, but many states and cities require paid sick leave, often 1 hour for every 30 hours worked. Check the rules where your employees work.
